first night!!!!

Landing in Panama City was so beautiful! The view from the plane window:

I was the first person off the plane from our group on that flight and I got through customs and baggage claim with no issues. When everyone had gone through customs they fit around 13 of us and all our bags (2+ bags each) into a too small truck for that many people (I wish I had taken a picture).

We were able to go to our rooms which are GINORMOUS suites and have a beautiful view (for some reason a video won't upload).
I'm rooming with two girls named Neshima and Stella Rae who are both very nice. We met as a group and got cute tote bags to put our things in. For dinner we walked to El Trapiche about 20 mins away. I would have taken a pic of my food but I was too hungry to wait (it was very yummy).
The city is very pretty with greenery EVERYWHERE. The buildings are a mish mash of skyscrapers and run down apartments and shops. On many balconies there are 10-15 pots with huge tropical plants in them. There are TONS of dogs wherever you look and a lot of people greet you when you walk by.
I packed well except I forgot my face wash and my bug spray seeped through two plastic bags and now every single thing in my toiletry bag reeks of bug spray and whenever I touch anything in it, I do too...
Tomorrow we're going to see ruins near the city and have some orientation talks. But the evening is free for us to do what we want!
