11 days...
Ever since I found SIT's (School for International Teaching) Panama program in June 2023, I knew I was going to find a way to attend the spring session. It has not been an easy road to defer from Baylor, ensure my scholarships transfer and get credit for the classes I'll take in Panama. However, I wanted to make it happen, and so I did (and I only cried a few times!!).
A little about the program... (below is a rough schedule of my four months in Panama)
During orientation we will stay at a hotel, but by the first Sunday we will be assigned to homestays throughout Panama City (I had to write a letter a while back to them in very elementary Spanish, I will not attach it because I am embaressed by it). Speaking of my Spanish, I have technically taken 14 years of Spanish. But, if you talk to me in Spanish I will not respond in an intelligible way. Let's just say I'm really happy the first few weeks of the semester we'll have an intensive Spanish class while living with Spanish speaking people.
I will be taking 16 credits of classes:
In terms of packing, I've only made one trip to Scheels (thank you Oma!! I really appreciate you!) and subsequently spent an obscene amount of money on Amazon (why are pants $30???). I have a few more things I need to buy, but I'm in good shape for being over a week away from leaving. The main worry now is if everything will fit in the backpack I'm bringing (Aidan's backpacking backpack).
These last days before I leave, I've been resting and next week I'll try to see everyone one last time. Oh yeah, I cut 10+ inches of my hair yesterday... :) (I'm DONATING my hair, I don't just keep it like a weirdo)
P.S: I think all the images are uploading blurry so I'll try to fix it next time I post. Also, yes I know the font changed halfway through but idk how to fix it.

how much for the hair?
